You decided to become a coach to serve others.
But being in business for yourself feels risky. There is a constant worry about getting enough clients.
What if it doesn’t work? And if we are honest, it often feels like it might not work.

I have been in the coaching business for 16 years and spoken to hundreds of coaches. The number one question coaches ask, even if they have been a coach for a while is:
How do I get clients .. and why does it feel so hard?
I can answer those questions and make it easier for you to get clients. There are 2 problems that make getting clients difficult.

The marketers you have hired to help you were not trained to market coaching.
They know how to market toothpaste. Insurance. Coffee.
Services people already understand.
They tell you to simply,
“Niche down”
“Be visible, get on stage”
“Post daily”
Coaching is a completely different thing.
They don’t know how to market a change in thinking or a unique personal development idea … You're selling a change your potential clients cannot fully picture yet.
So the “normal” marketing advice is incomplete and just won’t work. You already know that because it hasn't worked for you.
After talking with over 150 coaches on my podcast, I noticed the successful ones were all doing very similar things. When I began to track these things I found
there are only 6 things a coach has to do to be successful .. but they must be done in the right order.
And this is what most coaches are doing wrong. It's not that you are doing nothing to attract clients and grow your coaching business.
You're doing things that should work:
posting
creating a website
podcasting
sales calls
But you're starting at step 4, and skipping steps 1-3.
Step 1 that must be done first is to get completely clear on what YOU DO. This might sound simple but it's not. Your work is broad, helps many different types of people, has many applications. You can do A LOT.
Many coaches struggling to get clients haven't fully done step one, and almost all of them avoid step two.
That's why everything feels harder than it should.
Imagine what your business would be like if people understood what you do and how amazing your work is.
A steady stream of clients into your business is possible if potential clients immediately understand what you do and you get that message in front of the right people.
That can happen. That’s the work I do. There are only 6 things a coach needs to do to get clients and create a profitable business. The problem is they unusually do these 6 steps in the wrong order, and often skip the first step all together.
I help coaches with these 6 steps and make your coaching business feel easier and more fun.
When you work on your marketing again, I would love to have the privilege of working with you.
